Where's Paul Moss?

There's nothing peaceful about Medan Selera Damai next to Sungai Gombak. Every night all the rejects from future Malaysian Idol and One in A Million auditions, mostly Mat Rocks, gather there to sing ear-shattering hymns to the God of Tone Deafness using the karaoke system there. In their case, practice won't make perfect because firstly, they're already tone deaf and secondly the four amplifiers there will just make them deafer. It's okay if those insomniacs, whose worship sometimes last past 2am sometimes 3am, sang their inconsiderate hearts out in a soundproof cubicle but the medan selera is actually an open-air site! So their brand of insomnia also infects the residents who happen to be staying beside the river long before the medan selera, and the medan selera is actually on the residential area's side of the river, but even at Vistana Hotel opposite the song massacre is audible. What a great introduction of our country to the tourists. Who needs Jaclyn Victor?

Please DBKL, Sungai Gombak is polluted as it is, don't contribute air and noise pollution to it! Either stop the karaoke or build a soundproof cubicle so if the customers want to sing, they can damage their own eardrums and not other innocent people's. And I can't imagine the damage that's being done to the eardrums of the people who serve the foods there! Imagine ordering kerang bakar and you get ais kacang instead!
